Weekly summary #13
Summary of the thirteenth week of my #SeniorDevRevamp project. I passed the AWS Developer Associate exam!

ToggleOverall summary
This week was revolving around actual AWS DEV exam. On Monday I went through all my ANKI flashcards, and that was a blast! However, mostly due to all that preparation I have passed my exam on Tuesday. Hooray! Everything I have described in my summary post about AWS DEV Associate preparation. I don’t want to repeat myself here that much, so just visit the link.
In order to get some air after that, and prepare for my upcoming vacation (this time the actual ones), I did not start anything new. The only activity I was continuing were ANKI flashcards, and I have also started reading “Fundamentals of Data Engineering” by Joe Reis, Matt Housley. Big data/data engineering is an area where I also have gaps, so I have chosen a book that covers everything from the ecosystem’s perspective. I am possibly finishing this book as you read this.
What’s next?
I have covered that in the monthly summary of August, so for the details I will point you there. In short – I will try to set new FKT on the GSS2 trail (eastbound). Link for the tracking is below. I am out for two weeks then – so no updates during that time.
Day by day list
- 02-09-2024: ANKI all over – I did ALL flashcards related to AWS cert – exactly 999 of them. Took me several hours and my brain was on fire after that. Good that I started the day with one last mock exam (passed), because after all those flashcards there was no use of me.
- 03-09-2024: AWS Dev Cert exam. And that’s it, nothing more. Rest day.
- 04-09-2024: Did ANKIs as usual. I have made some plan plans concerning the future, and started reading “Fundamentals of Data Engineering” by Joe Reis, Matt Housley
- 05-09-2024: ANKIs and continued reading the book.
- 06-09-2024: Same as yesterday.
- 07-09-2024: Only ANKIs as I was in transit.
- 08-09-2024: Time to start the real holidays. You can track my progress for the next two weeks here – https://poltrax.pl/gss2r (this moving dot with MP initials – that’s me 😉 )
