Weekly summary #17
Summary of the seventeenth week of my #SeniorDevRevamp project. Interviewing started.

ToggleOverall summary
From the technical perspective, this week was concentrated around two concepts – SQL and Python. For the SQL I mentioned some time ago, I am participating in a PostgreSQL administration course. Not to gain that much practical skills, but to expand my knowledge with some real-world examples. As a companion book, I am reading “Practical SQL” by Anthony deBarros. I am skimming through, as the book is not that advanced.
For Python I have looked at the actual projects from the “Python Crash Course 3rd ed.” book.
However, the most important part is that I have started my recruitment process. Couple of emails and one meeting later, I am working on a coding task. Nothing critical or that complicated, but as with every coding task – there are some quirks that must be polished/explained. It’s a lot of fun to be honest.
What’s next?
I am taking a weekend off, and I am going to Sopot (which is at the seaside – for those who don’t know that much of Poland’s geography). Well, probably as you’re reading those words I am already back home 😉 As for the upcoming week – I hope to finish the recruitment process (hopefully with the positive outcome). In addition I will continue with SQL-related stuff, and there is one book that is waiting to be read – “Brain Refactor: Optimize Your Internal Code To Thrive in Tech & Engineering and Get More Success, Fulfillment, Money, Opportunities, Impact, and Growth”. I’ve seen an interview with the author and it caught my attention. It’s short (the book), and cheap, so no biggie 😉
