Summary of the ninth week of my #SeniorDevRevamp project.

Overall summary

AWS Dev Associate certification preparation was still going on – ANKI all over, and I have started to go through TutorialsDojo exam cheat sheet (and a couple of others). It is a nice way to summarize the knowledge I have, and also add some new flashcards.

I continued to read “Systems Design Interview part 2”, and finally finished it. Of course I couldn’t stop myself from writing a review, which will be published on the 16th of August.

I have finished writing an article about state of GC in Java 21. With that, I also finished reading a book from Apress – “Java Memory Management”.

Btw. I am writing these words from the small village of Argientiere, circa 10km far away from Chamonix. Here is a view from my living room 😉

Day by day list

  • 05-08-2024: ANKI as usual. Did one KCNA mock exam which I have passed flawlessly. Additional two chapters from “Systems Design Interview part 2”, finished “Java Memory Management” and continued writing a blog post about GC in Java 21. In order to keep up with AWS I have purchased some preparation guide for the cert from TutorialsDojo, and started browsing through cheat sheets of all kinds.
  • 06-08-2024: The day was very hectic, although I have managed to stay on track. ANKI as usual, first thing in the morning. Continued with heavy AWS preparation – some additional flashcards added, while going through a cheat-sheets. One more chapter of “Systems Design Interview part 2” read too.
  • 07-08-2024: ANKI as usual. Continued adding new cards as I was going through AWS DEV cert cheat-sheets (added quite a few). As usual, I have read one chapter from “Systems Design Interview part 2” (it was almost the last one).
  • 08-08-2024: ANKI as usual. Spent huge amount of time with the cheat sheets. Got to pack for the holidays, so did not do much more.
  • 09-08-2024: Started my holiday, so had to spent half the day in transit. That did not stop flashcards repetitions, and reading – finished “Systems Design Interview part 2”, and started reading “Developing Apps with GPT-4 and ChatGPT”.
  • 10-08-2024: ANKI as usual. Continued reading “Developing Apps with GPT-4 and ChatGPT”. French Alps are nice as usual 😉
  • 11-08-2024: ANKI continued, even in the mountain shelter at the attitude of 2,200m 😉 Continued going through “TutorialsDojo” AWS DEV preparation cert book, and adding new flashcards based on that.
